International Voice 2007
Tracing the experiences of two homeless immigrants in Britain, one a political refugee from Uganda,
the other an economic migrant from Azerbaijan. Coming from different backgrounds geographically
and socially, they find cultural barriers that they didn’t expect.
Following a 2-year residency with Providence Row homeless charity, Shiraz Bayjoo has embarked
on a series of works exploring immigration and fracturing cultural identities.
